Peter pursued a PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1997 with a thesis entitled “Auditor and Fraud”. He is currently program director of the executive master programs “Financial Forensic Expert” and “Compliance & Risk Management” at the Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance and professor of “Forensic Accounting” at the University of Curaçao and professor of Corporate Governance at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname. From 2014-2019 Peter was a partner in the forensic investigation practice of BDO Accountants in the Netherlands and in the years 2008-2011 lead partner at KPMG Advisory. Before that, Peter was, among others, Global Head of Group Audit at ABN AMRO Bank NV, Chief Auditor Executive at Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV as well as Koninklijke KPN NV in the Netherlands.
